Here is a video of an Instructional, Testing and Expansion sequence for the Transformation Atom: Conceptual subitising to 10 on a Rekenrek, which I was fortunate enough to try with a group of 4- and 5-year-olds.
There is no sound on the video, because the entire sequence was presented in silence, with children responding on mini-whiteboards.
